the north sister: Sitka, Alaska; There are three mountains that are the backdrop to our town in Alaska called the sisters...The north sister, the middle sister and the south sister. They are an ever present reminder of my own beautiful strong sisters, where I came from, who I am, and who I want to be. I am a sister that, for better or worse, left home for a cold, wet, but beautiful place in the north, seeking something... So here we are, wishing to live simply and truly, looking for God daily, enjoying the beauty of the earth and of the people around us... missing the beauty of the people and home that is far away. Now I am not just a sister, but a wife and a mother. And this is our beautiful and blessed life.
